Founded in 1993 by From the Heart Productions, the Roy W. Dean Grant is awarded to filmmakers with unique films that contribute to society. It is open to indie filmmakers and students with documentaries, features, short films and web series budgeted under $500K.
The Roy W. Dean Grant for Summer is pleased to welcome Filmtools as a new donor for the grant. Winning filmmaker will receive from Filmtools $500 in expendable, grip, or lighting supplies.
This donation is in addition to $3,500 cash, as well as the $30,000 in film services and goods that are included with the grant.
Deadline for applications is June 30th, 2018.
Every filmmaker that applies receives a free consultation on their project.
The $3,500 cash prize is supplemented by donations such as a hard drive from G-technology, $1,295.00 scholarship to Writers Boot Camp, $600.00 for free closed Captioning by NetCaptioning, and much more from many heartfelt donors.
