The deadline to apply to the 2024 Spring Roy W. Dean Grant for indie filmmakers is almost here. Submissions must be received by March 31st. Through this grant awarded to films that are unique and that make a contribution to society, 501(c)3 non-profit sponsor From the Heart Productions has been able to help many talented filmmakers complete their exceptional films.
The grant is open to documentaries, narrative features, short films and web series. In addition to being unique and making a contribution to society, projects should be budgeted at $500,000 or less. Students are welcome to apply.
Winner of the Roy W. Every Filmmaker Gets Help for Their Project by Just Applying
Every filmmaker that applies for the grant has the opportunity to receive a 15-minute consultation on their submission with the Director of the Roy W. Dean Grants, Carole Joyce. Filmmakers can get advice on how to find funding, build up a database of donors or investors, market their film, and more.
