Job Posting: Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television (NECAT) is seeking a full-time Director of Content and Member Relations.
The right candidate for us will be friendly and patient with the public, NECAT members, and students.
The station is a fast-paced environment with multiple administrative, technical, and creative tasks to be managed via computer, phone, and in person. Responsibilities include member show review and relations, database management, website management, social media outreach, editing for staff-produced video projects, and leading TV production camps and classes for teenagers.
This position works closely with the CEO and with the 3 Metro employees who encode content for each NECAT channel. We are looking for a creative individual with skills that are both administrative and technical. Our ideal new team member would thrive teaching and mentoring teenagers during periodic classes and TV camps.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Customer service or member service Nonprofit management
Television or film production and editing
Instruction of teenagers
Website and database management
Skilled in Adobe Premiere and other Creative Cloud programs for Mac
Minimum 18 years of age
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television: NECAT is a nonprofit created by Metro Nashville government in 1978, presently in its 41st year of existence. Our organization exists to teach the public how to make TV shows, welcome them as members to use our studio and equipment, and to broadcast the shows they create on one of our 3 channels: arts, education, and public access. Our channels, Music City Arts, iQtv, and Access Nashville are viewable on television via Comcast in Davidson County (respectively Comcast channels 9, 10, and 19), collectively via AT&T U-verse channel 99 in 19 middle Tennessee counties, and via livestream and free On Demand view at NECATnetwork.org.
