Second Annual Knoxville Film Festival Kicks Off Thursday

Posted on: Tuesday - Sep 9, 2014

The Knoxville Film Festival will kick off its second official year on Thursday, September 11, 2014, featuring more than 100 films in downtown Knoxville at Regal Downtown West Cinema 8.

The TFEMC supported festival will run through Sunday, September 14, and will celebrate and highlight the major works of local, regional, national and international independent cinema. This year’s festival showcases Knoxville’s momentum as a premier film destination, with 15 of the featured films having strong ties to East Tennessee, including the festival’s opening night film SOMETHING, ANYTHING.

TFEMC Project Manager Gisela Moore will provide remarks at Thursday’s Opening Night Reception where Ross K. Bagwell, Sr., SOMETHING, ANYTHING’s executive producer, will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
